NLTK is an open source project, being continually expanded and improved by an open community of NLP researchers. There are several ways you can contribute.

Contribute code, data, documentation, problem sets...
- Development - look at our development plans and offer to take on a task
- Sourceforge - access the source code repository
- Submit a patch
- Data - please post offers of data to the NLTK-Devel mailing list; note that any new corpus will need to be freely redistributable for non-commercial use, and should come with a corpus reader
- Email a contribution
- Translation - help translate the NLTK book into another language
- Not sure how to contribute? Describe your interests on the nltk-devel mailing list and we'll advise.

We would like to find people to take on the following special tasks:
- Write a review of NLTK for an online technical forum (like Slashdot, Python Papers)
- Expand the wikipedia entry for NLTK
